Sivan Hirsch-Hoefler

I hold BA and MA degrees in political science from the University of Haifa.
I received my doctoral degree from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, where my advisor was Prof. Cas Mudde. After receiving my PhD, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Government at Cornell University.

I joined the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya in 2012. I am also affiliated with the
 
International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at the IDC and the
 
National Security Studies Centerat the University of Haifa.

I live in Haifa, Israel, with my husband 
Itai, and two children, Itamar and Yotam.
